We’re looking for a Medical Strategic Planner (Freelance) based in Hong Kong to support our team on a project basis. This is a great fit for someone with a strong background in pharmaceutical marketing, healthcare communications, or medical affairs — someone who excels at translating complex science into strategic brand value.
Partner with medical writers, creative teams, and client leads to shape the scientific and strategic direction of healthcare campaigns
Analyze clinical literature, treatment guidelines, market trends, and competitive insights to inform brand opportunities and positioning
Develop scientifically accurate and brand-relevant recommendations aligned with client objectives and regulatory standards
Co-create brand stories, messaging frameworks, and multichannel content for both HCP and patient audiences
Support medical/legal/regulatory (MLR) review processes, brainstorming workshops, and client meetings as needed
Based in Hong Kong, with a strong understanding of the local healthcare landscape and regulatory context
3–5+ years of experience in medical strategy, planning, or writing within a pharma company or healthcare agency
Background in medicine, pharmacy, biomedical sciences, public health, or related discipline
Skilled in synthesizing scientific information into clear, impactful strategic insights
Familiarity with the Greater China / APAC healthcare market is a plus
Collaborative, analytical, and dependable – able to work across medical, creative, and account teams
